The concept is to enhance the sense of direction and perspective within the boutique. A continuous gentle slope makes up the disparity between the different street levels at either end of the store and the white marble floor is 'pinched' in the centre to enhance the internal flow. The sinuous curves of the stainless steel rails and flat surfaces rise and fall with exaggerated cantilevers swooping down to create an opening within the floor for a seating area and shoe display.
Like a Zen Garden, the whole floor is moated by traditional Japanese stones with the fitting room pods like giant rocks amidst a sea of white sand. The terminus of the shop pushes into the street beyond with a giant stainless steel 'breast'. Instead of a traditional window display, there is a small binocular style 'peep hole' through which curious passers-by can examine the shop interior.
Upon entering, a crimson glass wall diffuses colour along the flanking side before fading to clear at the farthest end of the shop. The storage area, VIP Room and toilets are contained behind the perspective wall where the solid colour beyond can be seen through vertical access slots.
